Terms of Service

Last updated 26 September 2026

These terms govern the use of Kunuus by businesses. Please read them before you publish.

1. Who we are and who these terms are for

Kunuus is provided by Kunuus UG (haftungsbeschränkt) ("we", "us"), a company incorporated in Germany, Forsthausstr. 20, 61352 Bad Homburg, Germany.

These terms apply to businesses that sign up to Kunuus ("you", the "business") and the people who use it on their behalf. By creating a login or using Kunuus you accept these terms on behalf of your business, and you confirm you're authorised to do so. Kunuus is for business use, not for personal or household use.

Your customers use Kunuus to book with you. Our relationship with them is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. The service

Kunuus is an online front desk for appointment-based businesses. Depending on your plan and settings, it provides a business page and booking links, a website widget, WhatsApp and QR entry points, real-time availability, booking confirmations, reminders and attendance confirmations, rescheduling and cancellation by customers, waiting-list offers, follow-ups, review invitations, alerts when something needs your attention, and an owner dashboard.

Kunuus is offered to appointment-based businesses such as salons, studios, coaches, consultants and trades. We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance.

3. Setting up, trial and publishing

You can set up and test Kunuus free of charge. Making your page, links and widget public ("publishing") requires a subscription, which you can start straight away. Instead, once per business, you can publish without a subscription for a 14-day free trial, without giving a payment method; if you haven't chosen a plan when the trial ends, we unpublish your business (your data stays in your account). If you subscribe during the free trial, your first payment is taken when the trial ends.

During setup Kunuus may suggest services, opening hours and other details, including information read from your website. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. You're responsible for checking them before you publish.

4. Plans, prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in euros (EU, EEA and Switzerland), pounds (UK) or US dollars (elsewhere) on the pricing page and at checkout. The price and currency depend on your business's billing country. You must give us your real billing country; we may correct your price if it's wrong.
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your card details.
  • Prices exclude taxes unless stated. You're responsible for taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our income.
  • You can cancel any time under Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we don't refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
  • If a payment fails or your subscription ends, we'll unpublish your business: your data stays in your account, and you can publish again by renewing.
  • We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your login secure and your business details, services, hours and rules accurate.
  • Use Kunuus lawfully, including data protection, consumer, advertising and healthcare rules that apply to your business, and make sure you have a lawful basis to contact the customers whose details you add.
  • Kunuus is a booking and communication tool. It does not give professional, medical or other expert advice, and it is not an emergency service. Decisions about your services, and how you respond to urgent requests, remain yours.
  • Review invitations go to every customer after an attended visit. Don't use Kunuus to offer incentives for reviews or to ask only satisfied customers - review platforms such as Google may prohibit this.
  • Don't misuse the service: no spam, no attempts to access other businesses' data, no reverse engineering or overloading the service, and no content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights.

6. Your data and your customers' data

You own your business data and your customers' data. For customer data (for example customers' names, contact details, appointments and notes), you are the controller and we process it on your behalf, only to provide Kunuus, following your settings and instructions, as described in the Privacy Policy. We keep it confidential, protect it with appropriate security measures, use the sub-processors listed there, and help you respond to requests from your customers.

Customer notes can contain health information. Only ask for, and only enter, what you need to manage the appointment. If your law requires a separate data processing agreement, contact us and we'll provide one.

When your subscription ends you can ask us to export or delete your data. We delete it within a reasonable time after account closure, except where we must keep records (for example, invoices) by law.

7. Third-party services

Kunuus connects to services run by others, such as Google Calendar, Google Business Profile, Stripe, email delivery providers and WhatsApp. When you connect or use them, their own terms also apply. We aren't responsible for those services, and if one changes or stops working, the matching Kunuus feature may change or stop too.

8. AI features

Some features use AI models, for example to read your website during setup, to draft website text or to translate your page for visitors. AI output can be inaccurate. Kunuus only offers times from your live availability, but you should review anything Kunuus has set up for you. We don't use your customers' data to train AI models.

9. Availability and support

We work to keep Kunuus available and secure, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need maintenance downtime. Kunuus shows you when a message couldn't be sent or a calendar couldn't be updated, so you can follow up yourself.

10. Intellectual property

We own Kunuus, including its software, design and brand. We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for your business while your account is active. You give us permission to host and display your content (such as your name, logo, services and hours) to provide the service. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Kunuus and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or hasn't paid, and we'll tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.

12. Liability

Kunuus is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, arising from your use of Kunuus. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You'll compensate us for claims by third parties (including your customers) that result from your breach of these terms or of the law in how you use Kunuus.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Where the law allows, the courts responsible for our registered office in Bad Homburg have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Before starting proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect; continuing to use Kunuus after that means you accept it. Questions about these terms can be sent to us using the contact details on our website.
